forester

forester is a static site generator designed for seol. it uses the filament markup dialect.

translation

currently, forester translates .fil files into .html files. future support is planned for .gmi as well.

the translator is currently a relatively inefficient prototype in python. work is in progress on a more robust and efficient implementation in lua. this will be an area of continued iteration as i try to make it as resource-friendly as possible.

trails and footers

forester automatically generates a simple footer at the bottom of each page with a few links.

forester maintains trails. trails are paths through seol defined by .trail files and are manifested as chains of links in page footers.

index

forester automatically generates an index of all pages in seol.
