forester

forester is an esoteric minimalist static site generator designed for seol. it uses the filament markup dialect.

forester is implemented in lua. the filament translation is pure lua, but the site generation code currently requires the LuaFileSystem library.

translation

currently, forester translates .fil files into .html files. future support is planned for .gmi as well.

the filament translator will be an area of continued iteration as i try to make it as resource-friendly as possible.

trails and footers

forester automatically generates a simple footer at the bottom of each page.

forester maintains trails. trails are paths through seol defined by .trail files (newline-separated lists of page names). they are manifested as chains of links in page footers.

index

forester automatically generates an index of all pages in seol.
